Bench seat armrest mod

 I saw on a facebook post where someone lowered their bench seat armrest in order to make it sit flush with the bed surface.  I though that this simple modification is brilliant however by simply lowering it, I would loose access to a small space between the bench and the wall;  I use this space for various items and it proves useful enough that I wouldn't want to be without it.  I removed my armrest and cut it down in order to achieve both a flush sitting armrest (which now becomes a simple gap blocker) and still have access the small storage area.  Photos below hopefully describe the process.
